PERSONAL SPACE / PUBLIC INTERNETVOL. 01 — 2026

Hello, and welcome.

A little bit of
everything.

A collection of things I've made, things I've improved, and things that probably didn't need improving. Some are practical, some are purely for fun, and most have grown considerably beyond the original idea.

005 PROJECTS

Not quite a blog. More of a constantly evolving scrapbook of websites, questionable ideas and things I'm rather proud of.

01 — GAME / COMMUNITY

The Gobbagio.

What started as a mischievous World of Warcraft death-prediction game has become a full-blown community playground. Players chase bounties, collect cards and companions, complete quests, unlock achievements and compete in mini-games and duels. There's a growing in-game economy, a rotating cast of surprises and, inevitably, one more feature being added.

The rabbit hole, documented
ACTIVE SINCE At least Sep 2026TINKERING TIME Many late nights · not trackedCHATGPT PROMPTS Exact count unavailable

It began with one daft question: what if our World of Warcraft group could predict who dies first? That little dead-pool idea got out of hand — in the best possible way.

  1. THE SPARK

Death predictions, bounties and a community leaderboard made the first version worth logging into.

  2. THE EXPANSION

Then came achievements, collectable cards, quests, unique items, the Darkmoon Faire-inspired games and an increasingly elaborate gold economy.

  3. THE CURRENT OBSESSION

Companions, progression, animations and multiplayer duelling keep giving me new things to tinker with. There is almost always another idea in the queue.

Milestones are drawn from the project's development history. Hours and prompts have never been reliably logged.

Admin Utility
Tools.

A private suite of purpose-built tools that takes the repetitive work out of financial administration. From calculations and document handling to provider contacts, client-record checks and workflow helpers, each utility tackles a real task that used to take far too many clicks. Built around the way the work actually gets done, not the other way around.

This grew out of real everyday admin frustrations. If I had to repeat the same task, compare the same figures or look up the same information, I wanted a better way to do it.

  1. FIRST, THE SMALL FIXES

Focused calculators, reference tools and quick ways to find information.

  2. THEN THE WORKFLOWS

Document handling, provider contact directories, client record checks and more involved automation tools.

  3. WHERE IT'S GOING

A continually evolving, login-protected workspace with carefully controlled access and tools designed around actual processes.

Only high-level functionality is described here. Internal data, contacts and client information stay private.

Mister Zeroni
Media Dashboard.

My personal front door to a self-hosted media setup. Mister Zeroni brings the Plex experience under one roof with a custom-branded dashboard, turning a collection of media services into something that feels like its own little entertainment hub. Practical behind the scenes, with a bit more character out front.

I've always liked the idea that a self-hosted media setup should feel like a place of its own, rather than a collection of unrelated links.

  1. THE IDEA

Bring the Plex experience and my home media setup together under one recognisable identity.

  2. THE PERSONAL TOUCH

Build a custom-branded dashboard with its own look and feel, rather than a default landing page.

  3. THE LONG GAME

Keep improving the presentation and navigation as the media setup evolves.

This is a personal, self-hosted project. I haven't reconstructed a precise launch date or time total.

JC Woodway
Joinery.

A dedicated website for JC Woodway Joinery, designed to put the work — and the craftsmanship behind it — front and centre. The goal was a straightforward, approachable online presence that gives the business its own identity and makes it easy for visitors to discover what JC Woodway does.

Not every project needs games, secret buttons or glowing neon. Sometimes the challenge is to create a straightforward website that does its job well.

  1. THE BRIEF

Give a professional joinery business a clear, welcoming online presence.

  2. THE BUILD

Put the craft and the business identity at the centre, with a simple way for visitors to find out more.

  3. THE RESULT

A dedicated home for JC Woodway Joinery, hosted as part of my website.

Earlier work exists, but its exact hours and prompt count are not available from my records.

Metro //
After Dark.

What began as a little experiment to fill a corner of my website turned into a moody, unofficial Tyne and Wear Metro observation terminal. It samples community train-arrival data, plots reported movements on a glowing network schematic and keeps a history of observations. It is not GPS, and when the feed goes down, it tells you rather than pretending everything is live.

DOCUMENTED BUILD October 2026DATA SOURCE Third-party community feedPOSITION ACCURACY Reported station events, not GPS

This was never supposed to be a major undertaking. I wanted something interesting to put on my personal website, and a live-looking Metro map sounded fun.

  1. THE SPARK

Turn a familiar local transport network into a dark, interactive control-room display.

  2. THE EXPERIMENT

Connect station predictions to a schematic, add train pursuit, and collect observations over time.

  3. THE REALITY CHECK

Build in caching, provider cooldowns and honest offline warnings when the community data source stops responding.

Independent hobby project; not affiliated with Nexus. The map is schematic and the feed may be delayed or incomplete. Public reuse permissions for the community source have not been confirmed.

02 / THE HUMAN BIT

Curious by default.
Busy by choice.

I enjoy figuring out how things work, finding ways to make them better, and occasionally building things simply because I can. There's usually another idea waiting before the previous one is finished. Most of what you see here started as a conversation with ChatGPT, followed by plenty of tinkering.
